Cellular/LTE iPad mini and iPad 4 now available at carrier and retail stores in the U.S. [Updated]

The Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the iPad mini and iPad 4, which include LTE, are available for purchase at AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and other U.S. retail stores from today. Quantities are likely very limited, so if you want one, you will have to be quick.

Verizon iPhone 5 carrier update looks to solve glitch which used cellular data even when connected to Wi-Fi

Apple has released a small update for Verizon iPhone 5 users after it was discovered that the iPhone 5 may be using cellular data even if the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. The update started rolling out last night and was in response to a number of complaints from Verizon iPhone 5 users who noticed that their data allowances were shrinking even when using a Wi-Fi data connection.

AT&T could be preparing to charge extra for iOS 6 FaceTime over cellular

AT&T could be getting ready to charge you extra for using FaceTime over cellular when iOS 6 is launched. At WWDC back in June, Apple SVP of iOS, Scott Forstall, announced one of the major new features of iOS 6 would be FaceTime over cellular. It was unclear at the time if carriers would actually support the service or if they would charge extra for it. 9to5 Mac and MacRumors have independently discovered what looks to be AT&T’s preparations to go the paid route.
