Monster Hunter Rise took the gaming world by storm with its solid gameplay mechanics, epic fights, and innovations that continued to make the Monster Hunter series better. The game also received a steady flow of both free and paid DLC, with Event Quests offering rewards that paid homage to other Capcom franchises.

The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak paid DLC expansion was first announced in the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, with a slated release window of "Summer 2022". Capcom promises new monsters, a whole new locale, and tons of new quests for Monster Hunter fans to enjoy.

Capcom announced in a tweet their plans to hold a Monster Hunter Digital Event via a live stream, showing off what's to come in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

The 20-minute presentation will reveal new monsters and information about gameplay mechanics in Sunbreak. Sunbreak is also set to release alongside three new amiibo figures, featuring the new flagship monster Malzeno. Fans can watch the Monster Hunter Digital Event on March 15, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. ET, 6:00 a.m. PT.
