Apple bolsters enterprise efforts with Box veteran hire

Karen Appleton, who was one of the first people to join cloud storage company Box, has joined the ranks of Apple. According to Re/Code, Appleton's role at Apple will be focused on the enterprise.

From Re/Code:

Karen Appleton, the veteran business development executive who was the first non-technical hire at the cloud storage and collaboration company Box, has left that company for an enterprise-focused role at Apple, sources tell Re/code.

Though Appleton revealed she was leaving box in a Medium post last week, the Box veteran only just revealed she would be moving to Apple in a Facebook post.

As noted by the report, Appleton was Box's eighth employee, making her one of the longest-serving at the company. In her time there, Appleton served as Box's Senior Vice President of Industry.
