The iRobot Roomba i7+ self-charging automatic dirt disposal smart robot vacuum cleaner is down to $949 on Amazon. This drop matches its lowest ever, a discount we only saw briefly once before. The robot vacuum normally sells for around $1,100.

You know, Prime Day is right around the corner. We've been working behind the scenes on some predictions and roundups preparing for the big day. Just last week I wrote one that specifically mentioned the Roomba i7+ and how we saw it drop to $950 and could see it drop again before the big day. Well... just call me a prophet because I can see the future. Here it is.

The Roomba i7+ is one of iRobot's newest vacuums, just released back in September. It's also basically as good as you can get in the robot vacuum cleaner world. It does at least one thing no other robot vacuum cleaner does - empties its own dirt bin. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal doubles as a charging station. So the i7+ comes back to base, tops of its battery, empties its dirt, then goes back out for more rounds. You'll get a notification on your phone when the bag is full, and all you have to do is empty it.

The machine can also learn multiple floor plans and the names for individual rooms. You can customize the robot's cleaning path, and if you connect it to your smart home you can say things like "Alexa, tell the Roomba to clean Billy's room!" and off it will go.
