Ha... Good one.
I would spend more money if the IAP where a better deal. Want a 1,000 coins that will cost you $99.
When all every content is going digital and consumers think that everything digital should be free, it causes a huge problem to the content industry. And the sad part is, consumers don't even understand that the quality of the content they are going to be fed with would become rubbish. Only BuzzFeed and candy crush saga will remain. And off course content that is solely present to peek into their calendars/documents/expenses/social networks/etc will also remain.
It's the Google mentality/generation. It's going to eventually destroy everything of quality and everything will be shit because people think it should all be free and have no idea how much work goes into making things.
I am actually a fan of "Free to try/start, pay to unlock the full game or extended content" but the micro payments just to play the basic game is infuriating.
I have been preaching the "you don't work for free, do you?" Gospel for a while now, hopefully people are starting to understand. Except for any OS. The OS shall always be free. And perpetually updated for free.
Yeah there's a coupe of games where I'd be willing to pay 5$ to un lock the full game. But if one counts all the in app purchases necessary to do that it often comes down to several hundred dollars.
Ha! I don't think I could ever quit my job just for the sake of developing apps.
