BillGuard adds ID theft protection to credit card monitoring service

Experian and BillGuard have announced today that they are teaming up to combat identity theft and prevent credit card fraud. At Money2020 in Las Vegas, the companies unveiled a comprehensive identity protection suite that combines BillGuard's card fraud monitoring application with Experian's "ProtectMyID."

Chunghwa Telecom brings NFC to the iPhone (sort of)

Chunghwa Telecom, the single largest telecommunications company in Taiwan, will be bringing NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S by way of a clamp you can connect to each device.

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has announced the launch of a NFC (near field communication) back clamp of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S to provide combined NFC-based EasyCard and MasterCard PayPass mobile services through cooperation with EasyCard Corporation, MasterCard and NXP Semiconductor.

Square Mobile Credit Card Service Now Up and Running

Square is a new credit card payment service that allows users to take credit card payments directly to their mobile devices. Businesses can now apply for a Square merchant account, and if approved, will be given a free reader. Square was first announced last year and gained quite a bit of interest. Don't want to use your credit card in iTunes? Use a gift card instead!

Want to buy from iTunes but don't want to use your credit card? No problem. Just head on over to a pharmacy, supermarket, big box, or any of the myriad of places that sell iTunes gift cards, buy one for yourself, and use it to top off your account. (Extra tip: Costco sometimes has packages for a few dollars off, like $50 worth of cards for $45).
