Facebook is making some changes to Messenger in an effort to make it easier to contact people. The company is replacing the Recents tab in the Messenger app for iPhone and iPad with a new Home tab and will be expanding the section's functionality. You'll be more readily able to find recent contacts, find who's online, and more.
Below your recent chats, you'll find a row for your favorites, the people you chat with most often, accessible in just a tap. You'll also find reminders for important events like Birthdays, along with who's active online at the moment.
It may take some time for these changes to roll out, so if you don't see them just yet, know that they'll arrive eventually. In the meantime, be sure to download the latest update for the app from the App Store.
