We've done massive previews of iPad Multitasking in iOS 9 but if you want to make double-dagnabit sure whether or not Slide Over, Split View, and Picture-in-Picture can work on your iPad, here's the complete list!

Slide Over

  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Air
  • iPad mini 3
  • iPad mini 2

Split View

  • iPad Air 2

Picture-in-Picture

  • Or maybe Split View with an A7 with 2GB ram would have worked. We'll never know because Apple loves dragging their feet with RAM upgrades in iOS devices.
  • I agree.
  • I feel for anyone who has an iPad lower than the Air., I will trade up my iPad Air this year for the Air 3.
  • Damn I still have an ipad 4 that I know would be capable of doing these things. Apple just purposely leaves features out to make you upgrade.
  • Apple has taken another feature that was already in Android and Samsung especially, given their penchant for ripping off competitors . . .
  • So if Apple didn't add these features, you'd be on here complaining that they suck, are doomed and don't innovate. When they do add them, you come here and say that they're just ripping ideas off. So the bottom line is you really just come here to complain. Well, short of Apple closing up shop and heading for the hills that is. Did I see you commenting on the artical where the courts rejected Samsung's appeal for ripping Apple off? No? Why not? Facts in evidence and law too hard to refute? Let me guess, you also come here and post how Samsung invented the cell phone, the smart phone and even the phablet. Even though the original concept can be traced back to 1993 and didn't come from Samsung. Maybe go troll somewhere else.
  • I have an iPad air 2 with the beta installed...and I can't figure out how to activate split view. I have the slide over...but there is no anchor to activate the split view. I feel like I am missing something.

  • Picture-in-picture of a video from Safari while you browse a different (or even the same) page would be pretty awesome.

  • According to Apple's website, split view will be supported on iPad Air 2, iPad Pro AND mini 4.
