LootTheWorld for iOS helps Borderlands 2 players redeem in-game loot using stamp codes

2K Games has released LootTheWorld, a new iOS app for players of Borderlands 2, Gearbox Software's enormously popular first-person shooter with role playing game elements. The new app is a free download from the App Store.

LootTheWorld works in conjunction with QR codes. You get a code, your friends get codes. And Gearbox will be posting "Stamp codes" on Twitter and the Borderlands 2 Facebook page in the future. Scan the code, collect stamps, and use the stamps to send your collected loot into the game. What's more, you and your friends' codes identify what kind of "loot you are," as well.

  • Interesting games. Not sure if I would download, but interesting. Thanks for the review! Sent from the iMore App
  • Perfect to go with the new Christmas DLC!
  • Looks like people are already starting to come up with ways of farming loot when using 2 devices. One to scan, and one to show a code: http://lootbox2.com
  • Don't forget that you need an XBOX Live Gold account to be able to redeem Shift codes...kinda sucks for me because I don't game online (except for DLCs and stuff).
  • You can browse through a directory of item and stamp codes, or search for the items that you want at http://bl2loot.com
