Literally just as the iPhone 5s is about to go on sale, Three UK has finally announced confirmed pricing for Apple's latest and greatest handset on contract. The meat of it is that an iPhone 5s will cost you £99 up front, whether you go for the 16, 32 or 64GB model. All are available on contracts with unlimited data, and the variance in price will be dependent upon which size iPhone 5s you go for.
On Three's signature One Plan, a 16GB iPhone 5s will cost you £41 per month for two years, while the 32 and 64GB models are £46 and £51 respectively. That compares extremely favorably with other carriers in the UK, and Three continues to be a strong value-for-money option. There's no 4G LTE yet of course, but that will begin to change starting in December, with no price increase to existing customers.
There's a bunch of slightly cheaper plans to get the iPhone 5s on, but the inclusive tethering with the One Plan makes it a real power users contract. The iPhone 5s will be on sale starting today, Friday September 20 in Three retail stores and online, but as yet there's no word on any pay-as-you-go options for the iPhone 5s. London, UK— Three today announced it will offer iPhone 5s, the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and iPhone 5c, the most colourful iPhone yet, beginning Friday, September 20. iPhone 5s will be available starting at £99 and iPhone 5c will be available starting at £49 on a 24-month contract from Three stores, online at three.co.uk or by calling 0800 358 1799. Customers can now pre-order iPhone 5c. In addition, iPhone 4S will be available for free on a 24-month contract. Three will allow iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c customers to connect to its ultrafast DC–HSDPA+ 3G network and its 4G network when it launches in December.
