Walking and running are hugely popular ways to exercise, and there are several really good iPhone apps that aim to help you keep track of the walking or running you're doing. Since February is Fitness Month at iMore and Mobile Nations, we took a look at the most popular ones, and figured out which one was the best for most people.

Mailbox for iPhone aims to reinvent the way you manage your inbox

Mailbox for iPhone is a brand new email app that's primary purpose is to let you focus on the messages that matter right now and store away the ones that don't. The Mailbox project seems to draw inspiration from both task management philosophies like Getting Things Done, and email management philosophies like Inbox Zero. Through a list of gestures, swipes, and taps, you quickly filter through emails and drill down to the content that matters right that minute, without being distracted by the rest.

For the past couple weeks, I've been on the hunt for an app dedicated to tracking my weight, and it was no easy task. Before the iPhone 5, Weightbot was my go to weight-tracking app, but since Tapbots has not updated Weightbot to support the iPhone 5, I'm ready to move on to an app that does. Apple's request for import ban on Samsung Galaxy Nexus rejected

Apple failed in its effort to get an import ban on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. A U.S. appeals court rejected Apple’s request after revisiting an October decision by the same court. Apple had been hoping that the new panel of judges would overturn the earlier ruling.

Earlier today Twitter launched a new service and app named Vine. It was a purchase rather than something homegrown, and sits mostly on its own. I'd be tempted to explain the relationship of Twitter and Vine in similar terms to Facebook and Instagram, but frankly Vine is nowhere nearly as good yet.
