Blue Microphone Nessie at Macworld|iWorld 2013

Blue makes legendary mics. That's according to Hillary Money, who spoke to us at Macworld|iWorld 2013. Their Yeti are frequently used by podcasters amateur and professional alike, and due to both those markets, Blue is amping things up yet again with the Nessie. Take everything you like about the Yeti, give is a sexy, serpentine new body, and add a ton of automagic-ness, and that's what you get.

Oopsmark USB Wrist Cuffs at Macworld|iWorld 2013

Jesse Herbert of oopsmark was making leather wine carriers you could sling from a bicycle when an idea struck him -- he could use the leftover bits of leather to make accessories. But not just any accessories -- smart accessories. Somewhere between steampunk and cyberpunk, came a set of wrist bands with USB keys stowed on them.

iMore at Macworld|iWorld 2013: Day one

Thursday was doors open at Macworld|iWorld 2013. We grabbed some quick breakfast at La Boulange. Not only did the French-ish name remind me of Montreal, but they have a unique french toast that's part bread pudding, part custard, part conventional french toast, and all around delicious. Perfect fuel for a long day of trade-showing.

Wednesday morning we high-tailed it over to Moscone West to pick up our Macworld|iWorld media badges -- the big honking necklaces that grant us access to all the events we want to cover for you. Once those were squared away, we ran back to the hotel to edit the photos and videos from the MacBreak Weekly trip.

iMore at Macworld|iWorld 2013: The arrival

Monday at 6am I woke up to the shocking sounds of marimba-as-alarm, jumped in a cab, and headed to Montreal's Trudeau International Airport so I could fly to San Francisco and Macworld|iWorld 2013. Or so I thought. Turns out mother nature had freezing rain on the menu, so the plane that was to carry me to Toronto for the first leg of my jaunt couldn't even get to Montreal. Delay the first.

Macworld|iWorld is not the event of old, where Steve Jobs put sneaker to keynote stage and introduced us to everything from the iPhone to the MacBook Air, and where Apple's massive booth, and the massive booths of countless accessory makers, filled Moscone to capacity.

Editor's desk: Macworld|iWorld 2013 bound!

Early tomorrow morning I'm jumping in a plane and flying to San Francisco, California for Macworld|iWorld 2013. Since it's been well below -20 celsius in Montreal this week, I'm looking even more forward to it than usual.

Leanna Lofte, who usually covers the SF events with me, just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Lucy Danae Lofte, so she's sitting this one out. There are very few people in our line of work with her camera skills, so to make sure we keep the level of quality you guys expect and deserve, we're bringing Martin Reisch with us this year. Yeah.

There'll be a lot going on, and we'll be doing our best to bring you with us every step of the way with photo journals, videos, podcasts, and a bunch of social sharing. Here's the plan so far:
