Screens 3.0 makes the best Mac VNC app even better

I've been using Screens VNC since it first launched and year after year, update after update Edovia keeps making it cleaner, quicker, and just plain better. Such is absolutely the case with Screens VNC 3.0 for Mac which launched today in both the Mac App Store and on Edovia's website. VNC (Virtual Network Computing), if you're not familiar with it, allows you to view and access a remote computer from your current computer. That means, with Screens VNC, you can be sitting by the pool with your MacBook Air and connect to the Windows machine at the office or the Linux server at the data center, see the screen, and use it almost as if you were standing in front of it. All your computers are simply available to you everywhere. So what makes Screens VNC so good, and Screens VNC 3.0 in particular so much better?

Screens for iOS 7 updated for Bluetooth keyboards, search, hot corners, and more!

Screens, considered by many to be the best VNC app for iOS and Mac, has been updated to version 3.1 and it brings with it a bevy of great new, and updated, features. You've got as-full-as-iOS-allows Bluetooth keyboard support, you can search through your saved screens, AirPlay Mirroring performance has been improved, Hot Corner support has been added, so have Disconnect Actions, and there are improved pasteboard transfers. It's also 64-bit on iPhone 5s, iPad mini Retina, and iPad Air. For more on the update, check out Luc Vandal's blog post over at Edovia.

Screens 3 is now the best VNC client for iOS 7

Screens by Edovia is my favorite VNC client for iOS and Mac, because the developers and designers care about what I care about - a great, focused user experience. And now they've brought that sensibility - and their kickass VNC apps - to iOS 7 with Screens 3.

Apple admits to using Corning glass for iPhone

Apple's just-posted job creation page actually says the iPhone uses Corning glass. It's been one of the worst kept secrets in mobile technology, with Apple never admitting to using it and Corning would never admitting to Apple using it. (We've asked them every year at CES and gotten nothing but nervous smiles and subject changes in return.) Former Apple employees have mentioned it, but there's been no official confirmation of it. Until now.

Corning employees in Kentucky and New York who create the majority of the glass for iPhone

Screens 2.0 review: The best designed, easiest to use VNC app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac

"With iCloud integration, SSH keys, and a re-designed Screens Connect, Screens 2.0 handles remote computing better and faster than ever before."

Screens 2.0 from Edovia lets you use your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Mac to take control of anything from your home computer to a secure server room, from the couch while you watch the big game, to poolside, half a world away, while you sip an umbrella drink. Mobile VNC (Virtual Network Computing) and RDP (Remote Desktop) is the dream every geek has had since we first saw prop tablets on TV starships, since we first heard talk of ultra-thin clients. And Screens 2.0, thanks to its design and usability, opens that dream up to a wider, more mainstream audience than ever before.

Vote now for productivity app of the year [TiPb Awards]

TiPb Awards: Productivity app of the year

Apple finally (yes, finally, deal with it) released the iWork apps for iPhone, namely Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. Agenda Calendar brought elegance to our appointments.

Noteshelf made our iPads useful in planning sessions. Elements made Dropbox note-taking sing.

[Orchestra To-Do] (http://www.imore.com/tag/orchestra-to-do) packed out tasks with functionality. Due made reminders quick and powerful.

Instapaper put everything we wanted to read in our pockets, but better. Screens took iOS back to our Macs.

A ton of very different apps to be sure, but all of them helped us get stuff done, and it's your job to pick the very best one.

Vote up top and tell us why you voted they way you did in the comments! These are your awards, so get to it!
