Apple admits to using Corning glass for iPhone

Apple's just-posted job creation page actually says the iPhone uses Corning glass. It's been one of the worst kept secrets in mobile technology, with Apple never admitting to using it and Corning would never admitting to Apple using it. (We've asked them every year at CES and gotten nothing but nervous smiles and subject changes in return.) Former Apple employees have mentioned it, but there's been no official confirmation of it. Until now.

Apple finally (yes, finally, deal with it) released the iWork apps for iPhone, namely Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. Agenda Calendar brought elegance to our appointments.

Noteshelf made our iPads useful in planning sessions. Elements made Dropbox note-taking sing.

[Orchestra To-Do] (http://www.imore.com/tag/orchestra-to-do) packed out tasks with functionality. Due made reminders quick and powerful.

Instapaper put everything we wanted to read in our pockets, but better. Screens took iOS back to our Macs.

A ton of very different apps to be sure, but all of them helped us get stuff done, and it's your job to pick the very best one.

TouchPad for iPhone, iPad goes 4.0

Edovia's TouchPad for iPhone and iPad has just hit version 4.0 and brings with it some great new polish and performance, and some hints at the future of Screens as well.

This version took more time than planned and most of the work was made deep down in the app, mostly in preparation of Screens 2.0, which uses the same VNC framework we’ve developed for the past years and had to be revamped. The result is a super solid app that won’t give up!

What did you think when Palm announced their tablet would be called TouchPad, given that one of your apps has been named that for years? I actually found it amusing and TouchPad has actually seen a sales increase since then. On the other hand, it made me realize the importance of making sure you protect your brands adequately and took measures in that effect soon after, just in case things turned sour. But for now, I'm not concerned about it.
