If you have a Wi-Fi-only iPad, getting an internet connection when you're away from Wi-Fi is going to require a hotspot. Thankfully, you can get online by tethering your iPad to your iPhone using a feature called Personal Hotspot. Is there a way to make it stay connected for longer? I find that if I turn off my iPad for a minute or so, I have to go through the process again. Any way to force it to stay connected? Or a shortcut to reconnect with a few less clicks?
Do you even need to turn on the Personal Hotspot option? Even with it set to off on my iPhone I can still use the iPhone's LTE connection from my iPad and my iMac.
I think for Apple devices you don't need it on, but for other devices you do
