How to catch in Go:

Description: A flat, fish-shaped Pokémon, Stunfisk is found, more often buried in mud, sand, or other ground than in the water. Its body is mostly a muddy orange color with dark brown around its edges and a bright yellow tail fin. Its face is set on the flat top side of its body with large eyes on either side of its raised tan mouth. It has yellow spots between its face and its tail fin. Two side fins protrude from either side of its body, lined with dark brown.

In Galar, Stunfisk has a regional form as a result of the high amounts of iron in the dirt around it. This Steel type variant is mostly grey with black fins and a black ring around its body that resembles a bear trap. It also has lime green markings and its raised mouth is red on top and white on the bottom, resembling a Poké Ball. This Poké Ball resemblance often tricks humans into reaching for it, at which point Stunfisk attacks them.

Both forms bury themselves in the ground and wait until Pokémon or humans step on them. The Unova Stunfisk will electrocute prey that step on it, while the Galarian Stunfisk uses the sharp protrusions surrounding its body to snap onto prey. Despite its odd shape, Stunfisk can move at very high speeds when attempting to escape.
