Google Mobile App for iPhone adds Google Goggles support

Google Mobile App for iPhone has just added Google Goggles support. Goggles is the awesomely named camera-search based service that debuted on Android and lets you find information about something just by taking a picture of it.

In the new version of Google Mobile App just tap on the camera button to search using Goggles. Goggles will analyze the image and highlight the objects it recognizes -- just click on them to find out more.

You can see how it works in the video after the break. It's totally Star Trek, but it's also still a work in progress according to Google:

Computer vision is a hard problem and Google Goggles is still a Labs product. It works well for things such as landmarks, logos and the covers of books, DVDs and games. However, it doesn’t yet work for some things you might want to try like animals, plants or food.

Get it, it's hot.

While jailbreakers have been able to take advantage of this feature for quite some time now, it's nice to finally have it "officially" supported.

If you've tried it out, let us know how it works for you.

Apple has finally updated MobileMe Gallery to version 1.2 with support iOS 4 fast app switching, iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 Retina Display, and made it a universal app for the iPad to boot!

And, like Remote app, all it took was Chad complaining for weeks and months on the podcast to do it! (Be afraid, Keynote Remote...!)

Also supported is the iOS-only ability to see friends' galleries even if you yourself don't have a MobileMe account. Nice.

Zentomino for iPhone - App Review

Zentomino for iPhone is an easy to play puzzle game and a great time killer. While the game may have a simple concept, some of the puzzles are not as simple to solve. To complete a puzzle, you'll take Tetris-like pieces and fit them inside the puzzle designs without overlapping or going outside the boundaries. Drag pieces out of their places or back in, tap them while on the board to rotate them. Sometimes you'll use all the pieces allotted to you, sometimes you won't.

ToDo for iPhone Updated to support local notifications and much, much more...

ToDo for iPhone by Appigo has long been one of my favorite productivity apps.  I've been desperately waiting to see this app updated mainly with support for local notifications.  The fact that you'd have to open the app in order to update the badge was somewhat irritating.  It's part of the reason I switched back to Evernote.

Not only does ToDo now support local notifications, it's been updated with complete multitasking support as well as high resolution graphics for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th gen.  It also supports password protection and adding multiple alerts for tasks.  I've noticed the app overall is a lot more responsive as well.
