White Diamonds brings the bling to iPhone, iPad - TiPb at CES 2011

White Diamond knows that there are many humans who, when they see something bright and shiny out of the corner of their eye -- like a crystal emblazoned iPhone or iPad case -- they'll move irresistibly towards it. Available in Europe and coming soon to North America, they focus on iPhone and iPad as high end fashion accessories with artistic design.

Check out the video above, live from CES 2011, and let us know what you think!

Marware CEO Premiere - TiPb at CES 2011

Marware, maker of iMore Store favorite Eco Vue and Eco Flip, are showing off their next generation executive iPad case -- the CEO Premiere. Rather than eco-leather, this uses the traditional type and also includes a new grip system to keep your iPad in place, no more pocket.

We take a look at it live from CES 2011 so check out the video and let us know what you think, is it a worthy successor?

Ten 1 shows off Fling thumbsticks for iPad gaming - TiPb at CES 2011

Ten 1 design branching out from the Pogo stylus and at CES 2011 we got to see their new Fling thumbstick attachments for iPad in full on gaming action. Simple but genius, they stick to your iPad via suction cups and once you orient them on top of the virtual thumb pads for arcade or first-person shooters, they become a capacitive conduit to give you tactile feedback and full control. They're even engineered to return to the center whenever you relax the pressure, just like a real thumbstick.

Check out the video above and let us know if you'd consider getting these thumbsticks for your iPad!

Hands-on with dummy iPad 2 at CES 2011

No, it's not a working iPad 2 but I did just go hands on with a dummy unit that could just be very close to what the final iPad 2 will look like when Apple announces it this spring. It does match up with rumored features -- tapered edges, flat back, cameras back and front, and an amped up speaker grill at the bottom. Check out the video above and pictures below, and let us know what you think. Is this what iPad 2 will look like and if so, what's your take on the changes?

[Thanks to Arn from MacRumors for the lead on this!]

Corning Gorilla Glass demo - TiPb at CES 2011

Chances are, even if it's not been confirmed and Corning is not allowed to disclose it, your phone or tablet device might just have a super tough Gorilla Glass screen. Ahem. So how tough is it? We caught up with the folks from Gorilla Glass live at CES 2011 and they gave us the full-on scratching, cracking, bending, breaking demo. (And as anyone who's ever dropped their iPhone or iPad knows, your heart breaks along with the glass.)

Check out the video above and let us know if it makes you feel any better about having glass on both sides of your iPhone 4...?

Apple iPad vs. BlackBerry PlayBook hands on - CES 2011

Our good friend CrackBerry Kevin got to go hands-on and do a full BlackBerry Playbook review today -- including a one-on-one with Apple's iPad -- and I got dragged along as camera guy.

The PlayBook looked very good. Much more responsive and fluid than the Galaxy Tabs I've tried (that will likely change come Honeycomb on the Droid Pad) and while it wasn't finished hardware or software yet, it certainly looks like it's living up to RIM's ambitions. Developer support/platform momentum, future form factors (RIM has one of every phone type, could there be bigger tablets, keyboard sliders, who knows?), how it will play beyond the BlackBerry base, and what the tablet market will look like when iPad 2 hits are all questions that remain to be answered. But for today, kudos to RIM for a slick, smooth UI and really nice looking hardware.

Kevin's iPad vs. Playbook video after the break. Check out CrackBerry.com for the full Blackberry PlayBook review including RIM's walkthrough video, Kevin's impressions, and a ton more photos. Then race back here and tell us what you think, is the BlackBerry PlayBook going to make a dent in Apple's iPad 2 plans?

TiPb Asks: What iPhone or iPad accessory do you want to see most in 2011?

What iPhone or iPad accessory do you most want in 2011? Rene is off covering CES 2011 and while I admit some of the things we've seen so far especially the medical accessories like heart and blood pressure monitors are super sweet (and I want them!) it's been almost 2 years since Apple opened up iOS 3 (iPhone 3.0) to accessories and there's just got to be more coming, right?

Withings demonstrates iPhone interface for scale, blood pressure readings, baby monitor - TiPb at CES 2011

Withings is already well known for their internet-enabled scale but now they're also introducing blood pressure readings and a baby monitor that all share and report data back to your iPhone over Wi-Fi or 3G. The scale is a handy way to keep a record and track your weight over time. Likewise the blood pressure interface. The baby monitor offers full audio and video whether you're across the hall, across town, or halfway across the world.

We got the full tour, live at CES 2011 Unvelied. Check out the video above and pictures after the break!
