TripList is a great way to prepare for travel, integrates with TripIt too!

TripList is a great way to prepare for travel, integrates with TripIt too!

TripList functions somewhat as a personal assistant with one main goal in mind, to make sure you don't forget anything before traveling. Create all your packing lists with all the items you need and TripList takes care of the rest. You can even import all your trips with TripIt for minimal setup time.

Once inside TripList, you can start creating trips or import them from TripIt, if that's a service you use. Inside each trip you can easily add the items that you need to remember and they'll be sorted for you into dropdown categories for easy organization. TripList has several items and categories pre-made for you. While I'm normally opposed to this, they're actually pretty relevant. You can, of course, add your own categories and items if you'd like as well.

TripList lets you manage multiple users inside the same app too so if you're doing the planning for your entire family, you're covered. This is an especially nice feature for parents so you can remember to pack things for individual children. Heck, even for another significant other. It's a great way to make sure nothing is forgotten or mixed up.

Features like TripIt integration and no ads are premium and require a one time in-app purchase of $0.99 to upgrade to the pro version of TripList. Overall, TripList is an easy to use app that's sure to get you organized for any trip you may take. If you happen to try it out, let us know what you think!

I'll try it for my next winter camping trip. I always forget the not so important thing but so great when you have it gear.

Thank you,

Sounds neat! Usually I go old school and use "Notes" for my list, but will try this when I fly next week. :-)

My wife is always worried she's forgetting something when packing so this sounds like the perfect app for her!

Perfect timing with all the holiday trips coming up. I know we got by before smartphones, but sometimes I wonder how. Apps like this are butter.

The timing of this article was so perfect it's almost spooky. Based on your recommendation I just used app to create my packing list and it was actually fun. Adding items is a breeze and way better than using notes. Mind blown!

I used to make lists with check boxes on Evernote but I prefer using Triplist now. I'm going away next weekend, so this will come in handy. Just need to actually start packing now…

This app is great so far! 5 stars! Seems like the perfect app for and trip small or big. I planning a trip to Europe and I really don't want to get that "oh no!!" feeling when you forget something. So great app so far. Not crashing.

I like kayak better. Trip almost always makes erroneous or failed auto scans of my email inbox for itineraries. Had no problems with Kayak

Thanks for the review Allyson. I travel often and really like TripIt. I will use TripList for a while to see if I like it better than my current list management solution - Microsoft OneNote. The integration would be nice...

I don't like how you can't add quantities to the list, nor tag items by bag...otherwise it looks nice.

Thanks for the review, Allyson. I believe the Pro Upgrade is $1.99 instead of $0.99. If there's a special upgrade price for iMore readers, please let us know how to apply.
