Apple is highlighting a great game this week with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Pirates in the App Store as the free app of the week. The game would normally set you back a cool $4.99, but now you can get in on it for free this week for your iPhone or iPad. The game still offers in-app purchases, but at least you'll be spared from the up-front cost as well.
If you're a fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise, this may be one to take a look at.
