Apple just last week took the wraps off its all-new 10.2-inch iPad, but Amazon is already offering a discount on it. Right now if you place a pre-order for the Wi-Fi-only model with 128GB, you'll lock in a $29 savings on its retail price that takes it down to under $400. The deal applies to all three colors — space gray, gold, and silver — at present, though there's no word on how long it will stick around for so you'd best get your order in at this price while you still can.

Apple iPad 10.2-inch

This device was only unveiled last week but you can already save on it. Apple's updated iPad has a new, larger display, added Smart Connector, and a 10-hour battery life. The discount applies to the 128GB Wi-Fi-only model in the color of your choice.

Unveiled at Apple's September media event, the updated entry-level iPad has had its screen size boosted from 9.7 inches to 10.2 inches, replacing the sixth-generation iPad in the lineup. It keeps the A10 Fusion system-on-a-chip and support for the first-gen Apple Pencil but gains a Smart Connector for use with the Smart Keyboard. As the seventh-generation iPad is the almost exactly the same physical size as the 10.5-inch iPad Air, there are already a ton of great accessories on the market for it.

There's no indication of exactly how long this discount will last, but if you pre-order it at this price then you won't pay any more for it even if its price rises back up. In the unlikely even that it drops lower, you'll also benefit from that price drop. The iPad is slated to ship on September 30. Now's the perfect time to upgrade your iPad as the new version of iPadOS is set to release at the end of the month too, offering a more optimized operating system for iPad models that will unlock new features, a new look for your home screen, and more.
