Facebook gobbles up Branch, Potluck, but can they make conversations less annoying?

Branch Media, the company behind conversation platforms Branch and Potluck, has been acquired by Facebook. The team will be responsible for forming Facebook's new Conversations group, though Branch and Potluck will remain products outside of Facebook. Josh Miller, co-founder of Branch, announced the move in a Facebook post:

We will be forming Facebook's Conversations group, based in New York City, with the goal of helping people connect with others around their interests. Their pitch to us was: "Build Branch at Facebook scale!"

Are you excited to see Branch-like conversations come to Facebook? Let us know in the comments below.

What's the next big thing that Facebook will offer to its droves of fans?
