Pioneer India has launched the AVIC-F80BT CarPlay head unit in the country for ₹51,990. The in-car infotainment system comes with a 7-inch LED display, offering playback options from a multitude of sources including CD-DVD, USB, SD card, Radio, AUX cable, or Bluetooth.

You can also adjust steering-mounted controls for select Japanese and Korean cars, and there's dual-zone audio and video through which passengers at the back can listen to audio and video content from a different source. The built-in navigation system has mapping data from 7000 cities and 500,000 towns and villages across India, including 3D views for landmarks.

Pioneer's marketing manager Gaurav Kulshrestha had this to say about the launch of the AVIC-F80BT:

The AVIC-F80BT is powered by Apple CarPlay which gives iPhone users an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, listen to music and access messages with just a word or touch. We have also introduced the HDMI feature which enables wired or Wireless projection of smartphones on the head unit using select Miracast dongles. This enables one to sit back and stream his/her favorite movies, videos and photos on head unit screen through a smartphone.

The head unit is now available for purchase in the country. Who's interested in picking one up?
