Grand Theft Auto III: 10th Anniversary Edition has hit the App Store. Aside from the menus and loading screens, that have been updated for the ’10th Anniversary’, the game stays very true to the original. Its a must buy for anyone who wants some good nostalgia.

Grand Theft Auto III: 10th Anniversary Edition will hit the iPhone and iPad App Store on Dec 15 for a rather low price of $4.99. Unfortunately it will only run on the iPhone 4 and 4S, the iPad 1  and 2, and the fourth generation iPod touch.

Rockstar Games announced yesterday that it will be porting one of their most popular games over to the iPhone platform. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will make its iPhone debut sometime before the year is over (price still to be determined).

This is simply more verification that Apple’s iPhone OS can pull its weight in the handheld gaming wars. If you can’t wait until GTA‘s release, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle from Gameloft [iTunes Link] should be good enough to hold you over.
