Samsung, Apple rumored to be in settlement talks

In what may be the first step on a long road towards a truce between Apple and Samsung, reports out of Korea suggest that the two warring mobile giants have agreed to begin talks to settle their patent disputes out of court. Sources "directly involved with the matter," talking to The Korea Times, said "Samsung has recently resumed working-level discussions with Apple and the key issue is how to dismiss all lawsuits."

Dutch court rules against Apple's Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 complaint

The Court of the Hague, in the Netherlands, has denied an appeal from Apple to place an injunction on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales on grounds of design patent infringement.

Apple sues Samsung over iPhone and iPad case infringements

According to BusinessWeek, Apple has apparently issued a notice of complaint against Samsung for patent infrignements tied to the cases Samsung uses on their tablet and smartphone devices.

Apple issued the notice of infringement to Samsung in Australia over the cases, and will file a statement of claim, Apple’s lawyer Stephen Burley said at a hearing in Sydney today. Samsung’s lawyer Katrina Howard said at the same hearing the company was served with the notice that the cases infringe at least 10 patents.
