Beep audio system is like Sonos for your existing stereo equipment

For true multi-room music, Sonos is a name we're all familiar with. But, there's a new kid in town called Beep, which offers a similar style result but with your existing stereo equipment. And of course, you'll be able to control the whole thing from your iOS – or Android – device when it ships in Fall.

Dear Sonos, please make me headphones!

It's no secret. I freak'n LOVE Sonos. I purchased a few Sonos speakers late in 2012 as a Christmas present to myself. As a result, I listened to more music in 2013 than I did in the last 15 years of my life combined. It made for a happy and productive year. It's just so convenient, it's rock solid in terms of reliability, sounds great and it connects with so many music sources, including my iTunes collection and my favorite streaming service, Songza (which btw, via Sonos is ad free and always works overseas in countries where Songza isn't technically supported).

SONOS Home Theater review!

Sonos has been making great iPhone- and iPad-controlled smart, connected speakers for years. Recently they've moved into the home theater space as well. Now, not only can you get all your audio anywhere in your house, but you can get up to 5.1 surround sound in your living room. Easily. But how does is work with iOS 7 and Apple TV, and more importantly, how well?

Cord cut: How Apple TV, iOS, and SONOS now run my home theater

A couple of years ago I pulled the plug on cable TV. Even though my local cable company provided for à la carte channel selection - $10 basic local service, then $20 for 20 channels or $30 for 30 channels - there just wasn't enough of what I wanted and too much of what I didn't. Since then I've been using an Apple TV as my primary TV conduit. And it's been working amazingly well. Here's what I'm doing...

Sonos has a new product in town, which despite not having been formally announced has been spotted on store shelves in the U.S. The Sonos Play:1 appears to be a smaller, lower priced entry point into the Sonos ecosystem – which of course can hook in to your iPhone or iPad and your iTunes music library – according to this image obtained by The Verge.

Jared's most-used iPhone and iPad apps of 2011

Much like the other TiPb staff, my most used apps are the native applications that come pre-installed on the iPhone and iPad, but unfortunately they don't meet  all my needs. I have spent a lot of time (more than I would like to admit) in the App Store looking for applications that fit my needs, and I have found a bunch that I use on a daily basis.
