What's new on the App Store: Easy Music, Pocket Mortys, and apps for the movies

Apps this week are led by Easy Music, a new app built around introducing children to musical concepts. Baby Story will help you share your pregnancy and baby milestones. Feast Kitchen has launched its own recipes and shopping list app. News junkies should check out Rover, a new app to help you find stories you'll love.

Games this week begin with Pocket Mortys, a new turn-based battle game taking place in the world of Adult Swim's Rick and Morty. Venture Kid is a new action-platforming title that harkens back to the era of 8-bit games. Little Broken Robots is a puzzle game that challenges you to repair non-functional automatons by dragging their wires back into place. Finally, Swapperoo is a new puzzle game that tasks you with making matches of three, but constrains you to follow the directional arrows while avoiding hazards.

To mark the arrival of the awards season Apple has put together a collection of apps all about movies. Look to POPSUGAR Award Season and Entertainment Weekly for the latest news on nominees and ceremonies. For catching up on the Best Picture contenders, try apps like Fandango, TodoMovies, and After Credits. If you just want to stay in on a cold winter night, check out apps from HBO, Netflix, and more to find movies to watch at home.

Check back next week for more new apps and games from the App Store, and remember to check out this week's Free App of the Week.
