Amazon offers big discounts on its Fire TV lineup ahead of Prime Day

We've seen Amazon discount its lineup of Fire TV devices (opens in new tab) plenty of times in the past, but the latest round of discounts could quite possibly be the last ones we see before Prime Day 2019. Whether you're looking for the basic Fire TV Stick (opens in new tab) or want something like the Fire TV Recast to record your shows (opens in new tab), this sale has you covered.

Unlike the last time we saw these go on sale, you do not need to be a member of Amazon's Prime service (opens in new tab) to score these savings.

Earlier this year, Amazon introduced an all-new Fire TV Stick 4K (opens in new tab), which included a new Alexa Voice Remote with it. This was the first time the company brought 4K streaming into the compact design of the Fire Stick, and what made it even more appealing was the price. Right now you can score one for just $39.99, which is $10 less than it normally sells for. Shortly after introducing the new remote, Amazon began bundling it with the original Fire TV Stick (opens in new tab), which the company had reduced in price when the 4K version became available. Right now, with this sale you can pick one up for just $29.99, making it one of the most affordable streaming devices on the market (and it includes the Alexa Voice Remote, which sells for $30 (opens in new tab) on its own).

Last year, Amazon introduced its most advanced Fire TV device to date, which is the Fire TV Cube (opens in new tab). It offers Amazon's Alexa built-in and has far-field voice recognition, a built-in speaker to let you check the weather, control smart home devices, and more, and the cube can also be used to control your TV with ease. It normally sells for $120, but with this discount you can grab one for your TV for just $79.99, a match of the best price we've seen it sell for recently.

Alongside the Fire TV Cube, Amazon also had announced the Fire TV Recast (opens in new tab), which is an over-the-air DVR that has two tuners built in and a 500GB hard drive. This lets you record your favorite shows to watch later, without needing to pay for a cable subscription like you used to have to. It also comes in a four tuner, 1TB model which is on sale for $229.99 (opens in new tab). These normally sell for $230 and $280, making it a discount of $40 or $50 respectively.

Whether you're looking to finally cut the cord, or need to equip some new areas of your home with streaming gear, this sale makes it truly affordable to do it.
