Apple releases Mac OS X 10.6.5 ahead of iOS 4.2

As part of the steady march towards iOS 4.2, Apple has released Mac OS X 10.6.5. Beta versions of this OS were said by developers to be necessary to enable iOS 4.2 iPhone and iPad AirPrint support for networked printers. Now, however, there have been rumors networked AirPrint support has been postponed or cancelled.

We'll try it out with the iOS 4.2 GM but we likely won't know for sure until the release version of iOS 4.2 hits, hopefully soon.

If you've updated to 10.6.5 and have iOS 4.2 GM, let us know if it works for you!
