Apple TV+ grabs a whopping 25 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations

Last month, Apple announced that its Apple TV+ shows Ghostwriter and Helpsters had received five nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards.

  • Outstanding sound mixing and editing for a drama or daytime fiction program
  • Outstanding lighting direction for a drama or daytime fiction program
  • Outstanding sound mixing and editing for a drama or daytime fiction program
  • Outstanding art direction/set decoration/scenic design for a drama or daytime fiction program
  • Outstanding hairstyling for a drama or daytime fiction program
  • Alongside that haul, Apple TV+ is also in the running for 'outstanding costume design/styling' thanks to Helpsters.

Today, the company announced that it has received another 19 nominations for the awards, bringing its total Daytime Emmy nominations to 25. Ghostwriter, Stillwater, Helpsters, Long Way Up, and Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth have all received nominations.

In just its second year of eligibility, Apple TV+ earned Daytime Emmy Award nominations for "Long Way Up" (3), "Ghostwriter" (9), "Helpsters" (4), "Stillwater" (4), "Helpsters Help You" (1) and "Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth" (4). These nominations include Outstanding Preschool Children's Animated Series for "Stillwater," Outstanding Special Class Daytime Animated Program for "Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth," Outstanding Travel, Adventure and Nature Program for "Long Way Up," and Outstanding Short Form Children's Program for "Helpsters Help You."

The winners of the Daytime Emmy Awards will be announced virtually by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on July 17 and July 18.
