Pokémmon Let's Go

In Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, nearly every single one of your Pokémon can evolve into something more powerful (and help you reach that 151 total). When your Pokémon is ready, it'll need an evolution stone to help it along. You'll want to keep as many in your inventory as possible for the big moment.

Which Pokémon do Moon Stones evolve?

Currently (assuming there will never be an update that adds new Pokémon), there are only four Pokémon that need a Moon Stone to evolve.

  • Nidorina - Evolves into Nidoqueen
  • Nindorino - Evolves into Nidoking
  • Clefairy - Evolves into Clefable
  • Jigglypuff - Evolves into Wigglytuff

You'll want at least a couple of each un-evolved Pokémon so that your Pokédex will be complete.

How do I find Moon Stones?

That's easy. Mt. Moon.

Once you leave Pewter City, head east toward Cerulean City. You'll hit Mt. Moon along the way. It's easy enough to get to and you should plan return visits often.

That's because there are only two Moon Stones available per day. Every new day, two new Moon Stones will respawn in the game, so you'll want to go back a few times before moving out of the area entirely.

Make sure you have a Follower Pokémon out. It'll be easier to find Moon Stones with the help of a mon. When they see one, they'll wag their tail and let you know.

You should also check all of the craters you see along your path. The Moon Stones are bits of meteor that dropped from the sky, creating the craters, so you're more likely to find them in there.

How do I find Fire, Water, Thunder, Leaf, and Ice Stones?

You don't even have to do nearly as much work to get the other evolution stones. You just need a lot of Pokémon Dollars — $5,000 per stone to be exact.

Once you make it to Celadon City, head to the fourth floor of the Department Store. There, you'll find Wiseman Gifts and you can purchase all of the evolution stones you need (or can afford).
