Description: The first baby Pokémon and the second Gen II Pokémon to be introduced to the Pokémon world, Togepi made its appearance before Gen II had been formally introduced in the form of an egg. Ash, Misty, and Brock carried around this egg for some time before it hatched to reveal Togepi. Togepi retains most of its shell upon hatching, with tiny hands and feet peeking out, as well as its head. Its body is cream colored and its has five spikes atop its head. It's shell is white with blue and red markings.
While Togepi is a baby Pokémon, it's not completely defenseless. Togepi are capable of producing poison from the spikes on its head, and they can absorb positive energy from others, only to release it later to those who seem to need it. Ever curious, Togepi often cause their Trainers and other Pokémon a fair bit of trouble as they tend to wander off and into hazardous situations. Still, they are believed to be a sign of good luck. Rarely found in the wild, most Togepi are the result of Trainers breeding their Togetic or Togekiss.
