Evernote adds Shortcuts, integrates Skitch for image markup

Evernote, the popular note-taking and cataloging software, has updated its iOS client to version 5.4. The new release is ready for download from the App Store. Evernote is free to download and use but requires a subscription for its "Premium" features like offline use.

The new release adds Shortcuts - previously labeled a Favorites on the iPhone client - that help you find and sync content (notes, tags, saved searches and more)l integration with the separate Skitch so you can mark up images, PDF and notes; you can also see notes you've recently viewd at the bottom of any note.

Premium users get some added features, like PDF annotation with Skitch and Related Notes.
