Ringtones! Dexter the Game, Echofon Pro, Geocaching, BlackBerry Premium Visor Handsfree - TiPb Picks of the Week!

Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they're iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they're fair game.

So who's on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break!

James' Pick: Ringtones! (Jailbreak)

If you are like me, the standard Apple ringtones just don't cut it. I like to customize my ringer to a tone that only I will have. Ringtones allows you create a ringtones from any song that you have on your iPhone. While it is currently only limited to the start of the song, there are advanced features in the works. [Free - Requires Jailbreak]

Jeremy's Pick: Dexter the Game

Fans of the show absolutly need to purchase this game. Great graphics, great controls, great voice acting, original story, etc. It's all there and it's very polished. Buy it now.

[$5.99 - iTunes link]

Leanna's Pick: Echofon Pro

I'm slightly addicted to Twitter apps and my new client of choice is Echofon Pro (formerly known as TwitterFon Pro). Echofon has a very intuitive interface, allows multiple accounts, and now supports push notification for mentions and direct messages. Firefox users can also sync unread messages over the air with Echofon for Firefox - very cool! I'm not really a fan of the new name, but I'm definitely a fan of the app! [$4.99 - iTunes link]

Matt's Pick: Geocaching

Ahoy! thar scallywags! War's my treasure? Me know tis' har somewhar! Okay so maybe not quite treasure hunting, but it's second best - Geocaching. I had been a little wary of purchasing the app as it's $9.99 but the 4.5/5 rating finally convinced me. It's SO worth it! It nearly takes the fun out of of looking up all your caches before you go out, entering all the coordinates and attempting to go in order.... ;) If you are a geocacher, then this is a MUST add to your Geocaching tools. The only thing I didn't quite like, was using this app for Micros, you iPhone's GPS doesn't update that quickly while walking in circles, so it gets frustrating if there aren't any hints. For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, check out the Geocaching Intro app, it's Free. [$9.99 - iTunes link] or [Free - iTunes link]

Rene's Pick: BlackBerry VM-605 Bluetooth Premium Visor Handsfree

Yes, I'm driving with the enemy. But I can't help it. When the TiPb store added this, I said -- hey! that's for BlackBerrys! Dieter said "quiet youse!" and Kevin said "Try it, you'll like it". So I did, I did, and I do. It pumps both voice calls and -- via built-in Stereo Bluetooth and FM transmitter -- iPod audio from your iPhone to your car speakers, and it does so elegantly and excellently. Plus, the British lady voice that it speaks with? Classy. I'll be doing a post on it soon, but don't wait to check it out. Premium is right. [Free - TiPb store link]

Ringtones! Dexter the Game, Echofon Pro, Geocaching, BlackBerry Premium Visor Handsfree - TiPb Picks of the Week!

The Geocaching app really isn't nearly as good as it should be. The current version, 2.3.1, is about as good as I expected the app to be when I bought it at 1.0. Waiting this long to get basic features is ridiculous. I think the people making the app just aren't very good programmers, and they try to listen to feedback, but just don't have the skill to make it truly great.
I still use it all the time, but it's just so frustrating.

Somehow I'm not so sure the "BlackBerry VM-605 Bluetooth Premium Visor Handsfree" is free, as the price indicates in the article. If it is though, I'll definately pick one up

Bloomberg app just got an update which includes AUDIO reports, like you would hear if you watched the channel all day.
Because the clips are sorted into catagories, you can home in on just those that fit your investment needs.

@Gregory, he means for that app. iTunes will let u choose any 30 seconds, but not all are available to make a ringtone out of in iTunes, unlike the jailbroken app

My Pick: muliexpress for iPhone ! since that little tool i can send todo's to other persons! These can see there rodo within outlook, iCal and so on and when these persons use toodledo or remember the milk services will the todo's integrated too!!!!

You guys have to check out Appbox pro. Sweet app for a little of everything. With a great interface. It's like the swiss army knife of utility apps

I've asked before, but can anyone recommend a decent printing app? It seems existing ones only do photos (HP app) or need desktop to be on.

@Muero I agree there are still a few bugs that I am surprised have not been corrected yet. Like the log not saving to send later. Or a note/scratch pad.
I think some of the issues that really bother me Are due to the fact that Apple has restrictions on the APIs

Hi, Neat post. There is a problem with your website in web explorer, could check this? IE still is the marketplace chief and a huge part of other people will miss your excellent writing because of this problem.
