Pebble releases official public watch face SDK

Pebble has released the public watch face SDK for its E-Paper smart watch. Developers can now start making their own watch faces for the device, which iOS users will install via the Pebble iPhone app.

Pebble, the E-Paper watch for iPhone (and Android) has sent word that they've begun shipping their first set of orders. Before you get too excited, it's an incredibly limited shipment, less than 500 units today, with more to follow. But still, progress.

Pebble E-Paper watch to start shipping later this month

The Pebble E-Paper watch will start shipping on January 23 for those that were part of its phenomenal Kickstarter success. Pebble made the announcement at its CES 2013 press event where it also confirmed that the Pebble would have a magnetic charging port, magnetometer and ambient light sensors.

You may recall the Pebble E-Paper watch that launched on Kickstarter earlier this year and managed to get over $10 million worth of pledges. Well the guys have released an update on its progress along with a demonstration of the user interface that you can expect to see if you were one of the successful backers.
