Bank of America adds support for Touch ID, Apple Watch and more

Bank of America has announced that its mobile apps will now support Touch ID for logging in. With this addition, you will now be able to access the app without typing in a password. In addition, Bank of America has updated the look and feel of the Accounts Overview page, as well as added a What's New section to the app. Bank of America has baked Apple Watch support into this update, allowing customers to view balances, recent transactions and more right from their wrist.

Lastly, Bank of America has added a new Security Center, which offers mobile and online banking customers even more tools to manage their finances securely. Customers will be able to manage digital banking security in one place, and even opt into extra security features, like having a one-time authorization code emailed or send via text each time you sign in. You can grab the latest Bank of America app now from the App Store.

  • Touch ID for the Bank app is amazing. Have it on my BMO bank (in Canada) and my Capital One credit card... :) Works so well
  • This is something that chase bank and Amex have offered for a hot minute now. Glad to see BoA customers getting this feature now. Only wish that more app developers would update their apps to include this as it is extremely convenient. Sent from the iMore App
