First episode of Minecraft: Story Mode coming Oct. 13 for Mac, Oct. 15 for iOS

The legion of Minecraft fans will be able to experience a new vision for the game on October 13. That's when the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will be released for the Mac on October 13 and on iOS on October 15.
Developed primarily by Telltale Games in collaboration with Minecraft's main team at Mojang, the five-episode series will offer players actual characters and a storyline to follow based on the sandbox game franchise. The first episode is titled "The Order of the Stone"
"Minecraft: Story Mode puts you in the blocky shoes of a hero named Jesse (male or female, your choice!), and sets you on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. While attending EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior – of the legendary Order of the Stone – Jesse and friends discover something deeply wrong and terrible. Only the Order of the Stone can save the world from oblivion, and Jesse must find them before it's too late."
The voice cast for Minecraft: Story Mode will include Patton Oswalt, Martha Plimpton, Corey Feldman, and Paul Reubens, with even more voices to be revealed in future episodes. The other episodes will be made available through 2016.
