The Story Leather Genuine Side Flip Wallet Case for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s features a moderate amount of protection while maintaining a higher end look and feel. It's also got some features that make it stand out from similar offerings, and here's why...
One of the features I like most about the Story case is that you've got a cutout in the front of the case for the earpiece. This is great for times when you want to talk on your iPhone but don't want the case open. A common problem with many flip cases is that you have to fold them over awkwardly when talking on the phone. This isn't the case. Just answer your call, close the case, and carry on your conversation.
Opening up the Story case you notice that there is a slot on the left for credit cards or business cards. However, you can only fit a maximum of two cards before the case begins having issues latching shut. Not a huge deal but if you expect to be able to carry three or more cards, the Story case may not be the right fit for you. I have found it perfect for instances where I only need one card and an ID.
The texture of the Story case isn't a smooth leather but more of a rugged leather. I feel that over time this may result in it wearing better than other leather type cases. I've had issues with some in the past where they get worn spots and start to look ragged. Since the texture of the Story case is more pronounced, it'll be interesting to see if it holds up better over time. My gut tells me it will.
The good
- More pronounced texture than many other leather cases
- Cutout in the front for the earpiece so you can talk with the case shut
- Camera cutouts don't interfere with flash at all
- Easy to place the iPhone in the case and get it back out
- Access to all your ports and switches with zero issue
The bad
- Only fits 2 credit cards max before you run into issues latching it shut all the way
The bottom line
The Story Genuine Wallet case is not only fashionable, but functional. I've found it to provide enough protection that I don't worry about my iPhone getting scratched or damaged during a mild tumble. The texture is also great and more obvious than many other cases, which could mean it'll wear better over time.
If you're looking for style combined with convenience, I'd highly recommend checking out the Story Genuine Side Flip Wallet case for both iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. And if you've already picked one up, let me know what you think of it in the comments!

That's a nice looking case but the thing I don't like about wallet style cases is that it makes it too hard to get in and out of my jeans pocket. And then you have to open the case up to answer the phone. More trouble than I want to go through, especially when trying to do it all with one hand.

I use a case like this on vacation bc it makes things easier... However I got mine at FIVE Below for, you guessed $5. I could kill 8 of them and still have saved 10 bucks.

So if the phone is stolen so are the credit cards?... Ouch.

Yes, it would be. I love flip wallet cases, but I never put any credit cards or anything else in it. I don't want the cards to scratch my phone's screen either; I baby my phones. Of course, a screen protector will take care of that, but I don't like using screen protectors. And too many cards and stuff will make the case hard if not impossible to close properly.
