Well this is just infuriating. ALL they had to do was notify users (aprox 24hrs in advance would have been nice, they could have sent everyone a mass-text, ya know!) It's Saturday night!! We have no incoming or outgoing calls. We're in the valley (sfv) and we can't reach our customers while we're en route for a catering job! This is a major inconvenience. Thank god the internet and texting still work! I hope we don't lose business b/c of this. A natural disaster/weather related outage is one thing but AT&T clearly knew this was going to happen and failed to take the proper steps to inform customers. This is irresponsible. Their bad business is affecting our great business.

No service in La since 4pm. called at+t, there is an automated message saying they are experiencing network related issues.... no mention of anything else. This is ridiculous. No notice on at+t website , seems like they want to keep this under wraps.

No phone ATT home phone service, and it isn't the phones. No ability to contact a real person from the cell phone, or via the internet that I've found. Account holder is a shut-in, and needs phone service. You'd think ATT'd have, at least, some way of contacting them via internet. Very disappointed.

No AT&T 3G service in downtown Chicago and on the north side for iPhone users. Can't find anything on the web about it, but have spoken to several friends with iPhones all complain of the same issues. It's up for an hour then back down. AT&T sucks.

No internet since December 10th, PM, in Troy, MI. Anyone else? Service said there's an outage in the area, and it happened before the snow, so that's no excuse.

AT&T is only doing what big business in America does, get over on the consumer. We pay our bills as we are told and hope for some service in return. AT&T has the technology but does not care about it's customers;that is the bottom line. My business completely relies on my iphone but I have no service and of course my bill has been paid. AT&T wins again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No phone service or messaging on everyone I've talked to who have iPhones in Tampa as of Monday afternoon July 13, 2010.
Now I know why AT&T is very clear in their one-sided service agreement that your bill must be paid in full for the entire length of the contract whether or not their network is working.
They must have expected that they would have frequent outages and planned ahead to not have to do anything for their customers in return for the inconvenience. Maybe they should stop spending so much on television ads and use that money to fix the problems with their network. I just hope that my wife doesn't have any emergencies on her long drive home.
It's my fault for signing an agreement like that. Once I'm finally free from AT&T's bad service its going to be pay as you go, month to month for sure once my contract runs out.

Portland Oregon - No service on (2) 3g iPhones from 7pm - 10pm PST. Just switched off 3g under network setting and we are able to make calls again.

THUMBS DOWN ATT! Fix the issue or at least acknowledge it exists on your website. GRRR... Just wait until the major media gets a hold of this. Even more negative publicity. Every day it's something else. Why do I put up with this? It's like I'm in an abusive relationship and I just wont leave ;)

Calls, via land line, to ATT and their response is , "We're not showing any outages or problems with sevice in your area." Yet, cannot receive calls, calls dropping, and texts take forever to send in the Elgin, Hoffman Estates, South Barrington area. Would the truth be so bad? To the cellular cos., many of us would understand if you would just be honest.

I've been without 3G Or 2G Connectivity near the LAX Area for Over a Month. I've called At&t five times; the last call I found the tower with a status of "Work In Progress." The Outage Near LAX is cause by this tower (405 freeway & LAX) serving a 10 mile radius of connectivity. It's Still Down & been down since Feb 16 , 2009 ... Thinking about another Provider!!!

My Iphone drops a lot here in Seattle and Tacoma. Says no service, switches to the EDGE, or just no bars at all. Why pay a lot for their service? 3g or 2g? Looks like I am headed back to Verizon!

I have had a 3G data problem in Cleveland since January 14 at 7am. I thought it was my iphone 3G at first. If I switch to Edge, data is fine. I called ATT Wireless twice today and there was no estimate of when it would be fixed.

Data on 3G has been spotty all day. I've got 5 bars but can't get reliable web access. Works one minute. Doesn't work the next. Thanks goodness for Edge. Thought I'd never say that.

3g has been cutting out after a few minutes in the Presidio of San Francisco, where coverage is usually and should be excellent (since it's right next to the young-rich-and-white ghetto called The Marina). Also, seeing a weird symbol I've never encountered, even on edge: A little circle thing, or a blank space, even with lotsof bars.

Detroit metro area - making and receiving calls has been difficult for the last week or so. Calls within AT&T network (both caller and receiver using AT&T) are especially bad; my wife and I cannot connect (no pun intended :-). I have been able to receive calls made from different service subscribers and place them with mixed results.

East Texas here. Calling and internet work fine but I can't send or receive texts. I get a message saying it was sent but people aren't getting them and when I tried texting from other phones they never showed up on my iPhone.

Service stopped working in the San Francisco area around 11am this morning. I get 3 bars from AT&T, but can't call or receive calls. Support says that service will be restored in "590 minutes". Ugh - so much for using my iPhone 3g for business!

No service since morning of the 29th here in Atlanta. Talked to an AT&T rep and they said it should be restored sometime today (30th)

No service in washington dc. My 3G goes from "Searching..." to "No Service" to full bars but cannot connect a call and then back to "No Service". They claim there is a major outage that will be "repaired" within 48 hours. Wonderful.

In the Madison, Wisconsin area... and still having problems with our service. We (my plan family planned phones of 5 ) are able (mostly) to make outgoing calls. However, we still cannot receive them consistently. Typically the calls are going right to voicemail. Texting is hit and miss. When range is available it is spotty at best and certainly not to the normal level. Internet is S.L.O.W. Phone type does not matter. We have 1 older Sony Ericcson, 1 Quickfire, 1 Palm Treo, 1 new palm Centro, and 1 older iPhone.

ATT & iPhone working fine through all this.

I have activated skype using fring.

I can also make calls with truephone. Although I need wu-fi for these last 2 services.

This is a great exercise on creating alternatives.

The AT&T outage is directly related to Level 3 Communications having an outage. AT&T uses Level 3 as a fiber backbone in several metropolitan areas. Level 3 had an outage here in The Baltimore/DC Metro areas, but my AT&T service was not affected. My guess is, AT&T runs on several backbones in this (extremely large) metro area, which makes good sense.

I live in a Cleveland suburb, had no problem yesterday, today I can make calls, but cannot receive them, goes right into voice mail. I work for the airlines and am on call, if I don't get a call I can get into alot of trouble. I called AT&T cust. service and get a recording...due to circumstances beyond our control, we can't answer the phone, would be nice if there was a recording saying they are aware of an outage.

I'm in Chicago near-northwest side and I've been down since 11am for both voice and data, that's at least 14 hours. About every hour I've reset my Palm Treo Pro by taking the battery out for 5 minutes then installing and rebooting, still can't get voice or data.
