I agree this is ugly. Why buy a great looking iPhone and cover it up with an ugly case. I have this one:

$40? That's too pricey. I have Cretouch's leather grip case. It's only half of the price($19.99) and it's great quality and awesome looking case.

This was the second case I purchased for my iPhone 3g and love it, had it now for over 7 months and find it offers excellent protection but is still very easy to remove the phone when needed, now 4 of my friends also use the same case case

I can't think of one case out there that doesn't have drawbacks. This one seems very inconvenient to repeatedly remove.

My 3G, which I bought immediately when released, is still just as mint as the day I took it out of the box (so far)... and I've never used a case. I've tried a few, but never liked any of them.

My friend had one of these, and after a while the top of the case (both front and back) developed so much room between the case and the phone (translation: Floppy Top" that it began to catch on everything in her purse. Checkbook, cards, keys, all became stuck in there.

She taped front to back over the top of the phone. Looked Ghetto.

I asked her how often she removed the phone from the case, and she said only to dock it in her external speaker dock. I suggested she find a case that was dockable with the case on.

I think she ended up with the Incipio dermaSHOT or something like that.
