Wired backups are fine although wireless backups have been flaky (often failing with no explanation) and I've given up on those. Plays well with an Airport Extreme to extend my WiFi network to cover my entire house. But if you want to use it as a NAS- to read/write files other than just TM backups, then its performance compared to other NAS devices is really quite poor.
