NFL Now app for Apple TV should be here for the new season

Apple TV looks set to get another new application sometime soon with NFL Now already being under development. The image and information provided by 9to5Mac shows the app as it currently stands, taken by an employee of the NFL.

With a host of content headed our way such as live events, game highlights, original and club specific content, the NFL Now app for Apple TV looks set to be a great companion to following all the action next season. Without a specific time frame NFL Now should be available in time for the 2014/15 season, and will hit with versions for other streaming video devices like Roku and Xbox as well as the iPhone and iPad.

So, if you've been hankering for some dedicated NFL action on your Apple TV, hanker just a little while longer. It doesn't look like it'll provide a way to watch live games, but who's excited for it nonetheless?

Yet a another app/channel for the Apple TV that is USA only. When will Apple learn that their set top box is available outside of the US also. We in other countries need more channels too. So when Apple wants to add new channels consider other countries first than you can add channels to USA

Like most things, you should probably thank DRM rather than Apple if it is restricted outside the US. Worse will be if it requires a cable/satellite log in.
