Steve Jobs Not Absorbing Food, Needs to Reduce Stress

The New York Times (via Daring Fireball) provided some additional information on Steve Jobs' health, and the possible reason behind the announcement today that he was taking a leave of absence from Apple:

Two people who are familiar with Mr. Jobs’s current medical treatment said he was not suffering from a recurrence of cancer, but a condition that was preventing his body from absorbing food. Doctors have also advised him to cut down on stress, which may be making the problem worse, these people said.

Again, we here at TiPb wish Steve Jobs and his family the very best. Get well soon.

Maybe it's time for these threads to stop. You may wish him well but you have no problem ignoring his wishes that this nonsense stops.

Well, while I may not have put it quite like that, I would like to see it stop as well, his open letter was fine to report on, that was it's purpose..too let people know whats going on...but anything beyond that, really serves no purpose and is just adding fuel to a fire.

I disagree, I'd like to know every time Steve takes a poop.

News will diminish as he is less in the limelight and successors continue with the legacy.
Many of us are invested in time, money and possibly talent with what Jobs and Apple have developed.
I'll get my news from other sources, if not here.
However, I enjoy the feedback & pulse of the moment that this forum provides.

I really wish Steve all the best and hope he recovers. But I am still baffled by a guy who runs a tech company being so seemingly against using modern medicine to treat himself. How long did he put off surgery on what is normally a fatal cancer in favor of his holistic approaches.
Do yourself a favor Steve, go out and eat a big huge angus steak. That is what you need, real proteins; not supplements, not plant proteins, and not anything else. There is only one way to get some meat back on those bones, eat normal!

Thats it, once steve leaves, he takes great apple products with him. Dont expect any great new iphones, or any new innovative products from apple, they are finished, now RIM and Palm have the chance they have been waiting for.
