Have you ever wanted to have a better camera on your iPhone? How about a physical keyboard? Sure, there are people that want those things. The camera on the iPhone has always been quite good for a smartphone, always leading with quality sensors and optics. But Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas thinks he can make it better, and he's unveiled his new line of "i.am+" accessories with the goal of doing such.

The HiLO Lens is currently on Kickstarter seeking backers for what can only be described as a clip on lens for your iPhone or iPad that allows you to get creative with your photographs. The HiLO lens is the first ever right angle lens for your iOS device that will let you take pictures from all sorts of new angles.

The Mujjo fisheye lens is an incredibly inexpensive way to try out fisheye photography on your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad -- or almost any smartphone or tablet. A fisheye lens is designed to take extremely wide-angle pictures, so wide that it becomes almost spherical for still photographs. That means, however, you can get a lot more content -- people, scenery, etc. -- into a shot than is possible with a standard lens. It also means that pictures are often warped to almost comical levels. But that's really the point.

GoPano micro, a 360 degree lens that creates panoramic videos on iPhone 4 [video]

US developer eyesee360 is working on a lens that will allow iPhone 4 users to create video in a panoramic 360 degree format. The lens is in a prototype stage at the moment but it has not stopped them releasing a video showing what this accessory is capable of; it is well worth watching.

The GoPano micro is a lens for the iPhone 4 to make 360º panoramic videos! Just snap the lens to your iPhone 4 and press record to make cool interactive 360º videos. Use it to record all the action of your favorite sport, record your next meeting in 360º or just as a fun toy for the summer.

The lens uses similar technology to the company’s “go pano plus” panoramic optics for digital camera, which utilizes an equiangular mirror composed of aluminum substrate to capture a complete panoramic image. The lens enables the iPhone 4 to record all angles at the same time but more importantly, playback the video and pan to different angles whilst watching.

Eyesee360 are currently seeking support through Kickstarter to enable them to make this prototype into a mainstream product.

Mo' Camera Mo' Better? For the iPhone, Maybe Not...

Long and loud have been the voices berating, bemoaning... begging even for some little extra bit of camera love from the iPhone. We're not even talking video here (though conflicting rumors coming out of WWDC, via TWiM, suggested Apple either thinks no one wants video, or were working on it for a future release...). We're talking about plain old, plainly old, still photography.

Nokia N95 has a Karl Zeiss 5.0 megapixel auto-focusing lens, right? Sure, it's built like a Soviet tank, but Apple could at least bump the pixel count on the measly iPhone camera, right?
