Oh Verizon, you tease...!

Is this a genius marketing ploy by Verizon, a coincidence, or just plain laziness? With everyone now looking forward to the March 7th Apple event, Verizon has somehow found the time to put a new teaser up on their website.

Something Is Coming.

Given the rumors of the iPad 3 (or iPad HD?) coming equipped with 4G LTE, it's certain some people will take this page as a teaser for a Verizon LTE iPad. Of course, it's more likely Verizon is simply laying the groundwork for yet another Android phone or tablet, or simply trying to round up any stray email addresses they can.

Any way you want to look at it, it's very curious timing. Anyone signing up...?

Robert says:

Between voice, data, and a personal hotspot, I already pay Verizon almost $100/month. I'm not paying them a dime more.

wiggy1 says:

I heard that kackle all the way down in the States...thought it was a treMore until I got on iMore this morning.

wiggy1 says:

That was suppose to be cackle...

Levilee says:

Makes perfect sense. Think about Apple's pickup line: "We have something you need to see. And touch." Thats right. Apple said "something". Could they be referring to the same something? I vote yes.

SkottM says:

@Robert: voice, data AND personal hotspot for Almost $100? I only have voice and data on my iPhone 4 and it's $100.65 a month. What do you know that I don't?

cinco312 says:

I have voice, unl data, and unl text and I pay over $142.00 a month. WTH am I doin wrong?

iSRS says:

I currently pay $95 with tax for 250 texts on each line (2 lines @$5 each), one iPhone with unlimited data and one feature phone, an old 550 minutes plan. This has a 20% discount on the voice and data. Check with your HR department to see if you have a Verizon discount.

J_Godd says:

I pay 85.16 every month for 450 minutes, unlimited Data and Text and get free Hot Spot whenever I want and no I do not work for Verizon.

Me says:

Are you using the palm pre plus to get the free Hot Spot?

norulesjustgo says:

I have Sprint and pay $86 a month for unlimited everything.

Robert says:

Here's my bill in California:
450 minutes for $39.99
4-GB data bundle with mobile hotspot for $50.
I don't have messaging.

DarkMx2000 says:

I agree I think they could be referring to the new iPad. Hopefully they already have way to damn many android devices lol.

Jentino says:

Are you sure they're talking about Apple?

tuscanidream says:

"something" is coming. I don't understand how "tease for Verizon lte" can come from that. iPads come CDMA now, and likely they would not get rid of that in the next iPad. So Verizon might be selling a new iPad with Internet connectivity. Nothing mentioned about lte.

Daniel Bellinger says:

This is stupid and lazy. How completely generic. Typical Verizon. Can't get it right.

Ryan says:

Yeah because "We have something you need to see. And touch." is so not generic.

Mitch Bryars says:

Could this be a special for 4G LTE for ipad3? They offered 4gb for $30 for android tablets last month.

Ryan says:

The background design and the way the text is laid out is very "Apple-ish" and falls inline with their designs when they announced the iPhone and iPad. This is more than likely just a sizzler to get people interested.

Rich says:

Begrudgingly I think this is Verizon knowing that they've got an ace up their sleeve come tomorrow afternoon.... I'm not at all bothered about 4G... here in the UK we've only just started talking about it let alone any carriers actually doing anything about it!!!
BTW, can't believe how much you guys are paying for your mobile services. I get 15GB data allowance a month and fully enabled Personal Hotspot, with 1000mins and 2000texts (whoever sends that many txt's a month??) and I pay £30/mth (that's about $50). This is with Three mobile in the UK.

Ronald says:

How much did you pay for your phone initially? In the USA they are subsidized.

Pierre Collis says:

I searched some time for this information. Thank you that you shared it.
