Apple has updated iTunes for OS X to version 12.1 today. Coming along for the ride is a new notification center widget, along with performance improvements for syncing with your iOS devices.
The new widget allows you to see what's playing, as well as control playback of tracks directly from the notification center. Additionally, you can also purchase songs directly from the widget when listening to iTunes Radio.
You can get in on these new features now by checking for the update from the updates section of the Mac App Store. Happy updating!
