New on iTunes: Music from James Taylor, early access to Al Pacino's latest, discounts on hit TV shows

In new music this week, we have the latest album from James Taylor, Before This World. We've also got Fun frontman Nate Ruess' first solo album, Grand Romantic, and the latest effort from Adam Lambert, The Original High. The iTunes Store is also offering major discounts this week on alternative albums from artists like James Bay, Alanis Morissette, and Imagine Dragons. Several classic rock albums are also available for $7.99 each this week, including albums from Rage Against the Machine, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Bruce Springsteen.

This week is movies, family drama Danny Collins, starring Al Pacino, is available on iTunes two weeks before its release on Blu-ray and DVD. A number of older movies have also been added to the store, including the special edition of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This week's Movie of the Week, with a $0.99 rental and $9.99 purchase price, is the remake of Annie starring Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis. Finally, fans of the sci-fi drama Ex Machina can now pre-order the movie, which will be available for download on Friday, June 26.

Heading into summer, the iTunes Store is offering more discounts on season passes for several hit TV shows from the last year. Among the discounts are new series like The Flash, and iZombie, along with the more established programs like Person of Interest and The Big Bang Theory. You can also grab the series premiere of the first season of HBO's True Detective ahead of its second season debut this Sunday, June 21.
