Sprint, Verizon offer free calls to France following attacks in Paris

Following Friday's attacks in Paris, both Sprint and Verizon are helping customers stay in touch with friends and family in France, in many cases waiving their fees for SMS and international calls placed to France.

Sprint is waiving its international long distance, roaming, and SMS charges until a later date, at this time still undetermined. This waiver applies to all Sprint, Boost, and Virigin Mobile customers.

Verizon customer will also allow customers to text and call internationally to France for free. Additionally, home telephone customers will also get free international long distance to France from their landlines. The offer to both cellular and landline customers is available through November 15.
