T-Mobile Simple Starter plan gets quadruple the data for just $5 more

T-Mobile is offering a new option to one of its plans, this time for customers on the Simple Starter program. Those users can now increase their monthly data allotment from 500 MB to 2 GB for an additional $5 a month.

The Simple Starter plan was first announced in May, which gave users unlimited talk and text, and 500 MB of data, for $40 a month. Starting September 3, that data plan can be expanded to four times that amount and customers will only pay $45 a month for Simple Starter.

This new change comes on the heels of a number of other T-Mobile announcements last week, including a new six line family plan and offering users one free year of unlimited data if they convert customers from Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. What do you think of this latest change to Simple Starter?

  • I'm probably switching to T-Mobile after the release of the new iPhone(s).
  • I'm probably taking this plan with the iPhone 6 if I can add international talking to that. Sent from the iMore App

  • I was planning on switching to T-Mobile, but if Sprint still has the unlimited for $60/line running in 25 days, I am going with that.
