T-Mobile reorganizes executives, Mike Sievert named COO

T-Mobile has a new Chief Operating Officer. As part of a corporate reshuffling, CEO John Legere announced that Mike Sievert will be the Un-carrier's first COO. Sievert has until now served as the company's Chief Marketing Officer, and in his new role will be responsible for a number of consumer-facing initiatives, according to TmoNews:
In the memo to staff – which we've been able to look at (thanks to our sources) – Legere states that he has created the position for Sievert. His responsibilities will include guiding all customer facing operations across the business, in a role which sees him responsible for marketing, sales and customer care for all distribution channels both direct and indirect, for each of the company's brands.
Sievert will be replaced in the CMO position by Andrew Sherrard. Other changes to the executive team include the promotion of Ami Silverman to Executive Vice President of retail, and the installation of former MetroPCS business unit COO Tom Keys in the new position of President – T-Mobile Indirect Channels. Keys will handle partnerships with all T-Mobile and MetroPCS dealers.
