Last week Square Enix announced that their popular Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) Final Fantasy XI will be coming to mobile in 2016. Mobile Final Fantasy fans need not wait for next year for a new Final Fantasy game, luckily! Final Fantasy: Record Keeper from DeNA and Square Enix has just launched on iOS and Android.

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is the first mobile Final Fantasy game to bring classic moments from the entire series to life. Think of it as a greatest hits release, with players able to recruit famous Final Fantasy heroes like Cloud and Lightning and participate in battles from beloved games in the series. Final Fantasy XI is coming to mobile next year

Role-playing game fans can find plenty of mobile Final Fantasy games on the market, with several more like Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and Final Fantasy Legends: The Space-Time Crystal due out this year. On the whole, they range from re-releases of classics to mash ups of characters from various games to original titles bearing the Final Fantasy name. Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions now available in the App Store

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is now finally available in the App Store. This is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year; well if you are into role playing games anyway!

Released as the Final Fantasy series' first tactical RPG in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics on Playstation went on to sell over 2.4 million copies worldwide. The game grew in popularity upon its re-release in 2007 as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for the PSP with added features such as new movies, scenarios and Jobs.Now, in 2011 the game has finally arrived for the iPhone/iPod touch! You can enjoy the game whose story gave life to the world of Ivalice, and whose high strategy battles bring tactical games to a whole new level.
  • The complex tactical game can be effortlessly and intuitively controlled by simply tapping units and menus. Gone is the old method of switching fixed map views - you can now rotate, move and change the size of maps as you please by sliding and pinching.
  • Loading times have been improved to get you into the action quicker than ever. What's more, you can even skip certain cut scenes.
  • Graphics have been adapted for optimal performance on iPhone/iPod touch screens.
  • Upcoming scheduled updates: Facility to fast-forward battle scenes and skip cut scenes.

The game is designed for the iPhone and iPod touch with support for iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3rd generation and later devices. For the best experience, play on iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th generation or later devices. An iPad specific version will be released in the fall.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 for iPhone and iPod touch Now Available in App Store

They are finally here RPG fans, Final Fantasy [$8.99 - iTunes link] and Final Fantasy II [$8.99 - iTunes link] were released earlier today in the App Store for your iPhone or iPod touch. Each game will cost you $8.99 but that seems to be a small price to pay for such classics as these.

First Official Final Fantasy Trailer Makes its Debut

If you did not already know, Final Fantasy 1 and 2 coming to an iPhone/iPod touch near you and on Friday, Square Enix decided to tease us all with the first official trailer.

We are sure all of you who are die hard RPG fans are growing impatient by the minute but unfortunately there is still no specific release date or price.
